psalm 139:11-12

I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night—
but even in darkness I cannot hide from You.
To You the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to You.

Psalm 139:11-12 [NLT]

This used to be my e-mail signature.  (Oh, parallels to my testimony . . .)

Love, love, love it!

  1. Do you ever read the psalms as they’re written in the Book of Common Prayer? That’s how we sing them, and I really love the language they use.

    If I take the wings of the morning
    and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea

    Even there your hand will lead me
    and your right hand hold me fast.

    If I say, “Surely the darkness will cover me, and the light around me turn to night,”

    Darkness is not dark to you;
    the night is as bright as the day;
    darkness and light to you are both alike.

    (so nice, I gave you two verses for free!)
